Q

I'm a nutrition student. I'm having trouble finding articles in PubMed. Either they're not what I want or I can't get to the actual article.

When searching full-text in PubMed, you can limit to the "Free Full Text" filter in the results citations list on the left hand side of the computer screen. PubMed also gives you other options to acquire full-text articles. I would suggest that you follow the instructions from the link How to Find Full Text on the Mahoney Library Home Page.

A Reference Librarian can alway assist you with a search strategy or to choose a library database listed in the Food Science and Nutrition Subject Guide.  You may want to try starting with Science Direct or Health Reference Center Academic. The EBSCO version of Medline will also provide some full-text from 1948 to present and is easier to use when searching for the complete article.
