How do I cite my notes in text and reference them? My proffesor asked us to do this but did not explain how, and I have never done this before.

The first thing we would need to know is what citation style you need to use (APA, MLA etc).  Once we know this we can refer the various style guides we have available and follow their instructions  from there.

Perhaps an easier way of doing this is to use RefWorks, our online bibliographic citation tool that will create your in text citations and bibliographies for you.  Learning how to use RefWorks though is itself a bit of a challenge and you will need to transfer all of your references into RefWorks first to use it.

In either case, I would recommend you stop by the library and make an appt.  with a librarian to help you.   You can also make an appt online through our library homepage.  Click on the Students link and select "I want to, Make an Appointment".

I hope this helps.
